International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is the industry standard and focusses on quality management systems and performance.
This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. The certification requires products/services to be supplied ensuring that they meet with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
There is a focus on risk-based thinking and accountability in all organisational processes that help improve communications, efficiency and implementation of continuous improvement.

In any company, the road to certification requires time and commitment. Industrial Clutch Parts Ltd began internal preparations in February 2018, by evaluating their existing procedures and aligning them with the new requirements. With the documentation and procedures already well established, only minor changes to the quality manual and overall processes were needed to meet the new standards.
Joe Bradwell ICP’s Quality Representative stresses that the ISO certification is a continual process and the Quality Management System (2019) will be updated and reviewed throughout the year.
