Winch Drive Systems

Winch Drive Systems - Product Range:

A mechanical winch is a device that is designed to pull in, let out or otherwise adjust the tension of rope or cable. When installed on larger applications, winches can often be found on machines such as tow trucks, steam shovels, and elevators. More elaborate designs can be found with gear assemblies and can be powered by electric, hydraulic or pneumatic drives.

Water-cooled brake elements are disc-type, externally cooled units designed to absorb and dissipate the thermal loads associated with the most severe clutch and brake applications. ICP supplies a comprehensive range of water-cooled and caliper brakes for heavy-duty, dynamic braking, and tensioning on anchor/mooring winches and deck machinery applications.

The WPT low inertia range of products complements almost any marine winch system. WPT low inertia and low inertia high torque clutches are available in sizes ranging from 6 inches to 60 inches to accommodate the drive system demands of modern marine industry winches.
