Airflex FHB is a floating housing brake - a patented braking concept that uses a floating housing instead of a floating rotor. The air-cooled, spring applied disc brake provides exceptional friction life due to its long-wearing, organic friction material. The revolutionary floating housing concept helps provide quick-change friction capability with longer friction life. 

The spring-applied (power-off), pressure released disc brake provides equal torque in either direction of rotation. Best suited for applications with non-cyclic brake engagement that require high-speed operations or precise balance of the rotating components.
