Eaton Airflex Multi-Disc Clutches & Brakes - AS
Eaton Airflex multi-disc clutches and brakes are simple and compact in design. The specialist design enables smooth operations in high-torque applications with small envelope ratios. The torque is transferred from the driving to the driven machine and is accomplished by means of an externally slotted driven cup that engages external lugs on the driving disks. The sintered bronze friction material offers a strong resistance to wear.
AS units utilize a bearing mounted stationary actuating cylinder to enable a direct external connection to the clutch. It eliminates any centrifugal head on the actuating fluid which could prevent clutch disengagement. The multiple-disc units are available in stationary or rotating cylinder design.
