Nexen Open Clutch/Brake Type FMCB

Designed for controlled starts and stops in hostile and dirty environments, this rugged air engaged clutch-brake combines power with versatility.

The single-piston design prevents overlap between the clutch and the brake, while the open housing design allows for increased thermal horsepower producing a superior clutch-brake performance. The FMCB Clutch-Brake mounts directly to a 15 or 20 HP NEMA 254TC 256TC frame motor. 

CHARACTERISTICS:

• IEC or NEMA input and output flanges 

• Clutch torque: 33 to 220Nm at 5.5bar 

• Brake torque: 33 to 240Nm at 5.5 bar 

• Automatic facing wear compensation 

• High cooling capacity 

• Shaft diameter: 19 to 42mm; 0.875" to 1.625"   

OPTIONS: 

• Nexen provides optional Foot Mount unit which allows for an offset motor for belt drive applications and an optional input unit which allows you to incorporate pulleys or couplings into your application.
