Simplatroll replacement simplatorque magnetic particle brakes are best suited for continuous slip duty and smooth start/stop operations, typical applications include winders, driven pinch rolls, and small dynamometers.
Special magnetic powder is energized by an electromagnetic coil to generate a braking torque from the stationary housing to the shaft. Torque is directly proportional to the applied current. Very smooth shock-free torque allows soft starts. Maintenance-free and negligible wear offers a long operating life.
