MDB - Enclosed, Air Engaged, Clutch Brake with optional Input Shaft and Feet

Nexen's hollow bore, shaft mounted clutch-brakes combine the features of a friction clutch and friction brake into a single unit. Three of the four models available have have a single piston that eliminates simultaneous clutch and brake engagement.

Features:

• Flange mounts directly to NEMA C-face motors

• Up to 10 HP and reducers for complete control.

• Offers true neutral position (no clutch or brake engagement). 

• The MDB is obtained by assembling an MDU on an MBU.

• NEMA C flange compatible 

• Automatic facing wear compensation 

• High cooling capacity

Options:

• Available with a pilot surface to mount sprockets or sheaves or with a variety of integral sheaves.

• Four sizes are offered to transmit motor torque up to 20 horsepower.
