Freno-Glide Bushes/Bearings

In order to improve their mechanical properties - in particular the friction coefficient - the resin is mixed with additives. Due to the wide range of materials with different mechanical and chemical properties they can be used in a wide range of applications.

Freno-Glide used in radial bushings is manufactured using Freno-Glide material  with the layers concentric with the axis of the the rotating or sliding journal or pin.
For end of thrust bearings the Freno-Glide is made from flat laminate with the laminationsat right angles (normal) to the journal axis and the end load.

For the best results ensure the bearing surface is parallel to, or concentric with the layers of material and at right angles (normal) to the load direction.

Freno-Glide bushes are fabric composite materials of fine weave plastic fabrics impregnated with special thermo setting polyester resins.
