Eaton Airflex Constricting Clutches & Brakes - VC
Eaton Airlfex constricting clutches and brakes maximize performance in braking and tensioning applications. The drum style products expand radially inward when pressurized. The constricting tube forces friction shoes against an outer cylindrical drum surface.
VC elements are designed to excel in severe clutching and braking applications on heavy-duty equipment. There is no better product on the market when it comes to high starting loads and sustained slippage where heat generated tends to lower efficiency and shorten the operating life of conventional clutches.
Manufactured to produce high torque capacities that permit the use of smaller diameter units which lowers contact velocity on high-speed applications. Ventilated friction shoes enable the passage of cooling air to rapidly dissipate heat.
