Industrial Clutch Parts (ICP) has fully prepared for exporting to our EU customers after 1st Jan 2021 and hopes that our plans allow us to keep exports as easy as possible. ICP is experiencing no immediate changes to its supply chain and continue to ensure production is fully maintained.

The ICP team is working hard to ensure there is minimal disruption to the business and the services we provide to our customers. ICP will continue to follow events as they unfold throughout the year and will keep customers updated as early as possible as more details of the future trading relationship with the EU and others become clear.

ICP has a number of freight partners and can offer exporting options for small boxes right through to pallets and crates. ICP can offer our customers two options for goods being sent by road freight: DAP & DDP.

Whichever service is used, ICP will work with its partners to ensure that the correct paperwork travels with the goods and, also uploaded to the freight partner’s portal for customs. ICP will also ensure that the paperwork contains the information needed by customs for speedy processing. 

ICP has many strong partnerships within the EU and will continue to put plans in place to ensure there is no negative impact on the company or customers during the transition out of the EU.

As ICP manufactures industrial clutches, brakes, and spare parts, we will remain open as per the Government guidance for manufacturing companies.

Over the last 25 years, ICP has supplied various clutches and brakes to the Theatre and Amusement industry. ICP recently received positive feedback from its customers at Green Stage Machinery Ltd, who are currently in the process of redesigning a theatrical line of fire curtain hoists.

A fire curtain hoist raises and lowers a safety curtain that separates a theatrical stage from the auditorium. In the event of a fire, the safety curtain will lower automatically to form a safety barrier between the stage and auditorium. By regulation, the fire safety curtain has to lower within 30 seconds. It is common practice to control the descent of the fire curtain by hydraulics.

A common problem with hydraulic brake systems is the difficulty to set up and regulate the closing speed of the descending fire curtains. As such, Green Stage Machinery decided to control the fire curtain descent speed by purely mechanical means instead of a hydraulic system.

SERVICE BRAKE FOR CRANE APPLICATIONS

Industrial Clutch Parts (ICP) has built a strong and trusting relationship with SIBRE Siegerland Bremsen. For over 20 years, ICP has supplied a comprehensive range SIBRE industrial brakes to a global market.

SIBRE's latest innovation set industry standards for safe and reliable braking on crane applications. SIBRE USB 5 "HEROES" disc brakes are manufactured for the specific demands of crane-, lifting- and material handling applications. USB 5 service brakes are the consequent result of the continuous research and development performed by SIBRE.

The robust design is complemented by all bearing and pivot points fitted with maintenance-free, close tolerance bushes. The pins are made of rust-free and anti-acid stainless steel for a longer-lasting braking system.

USB 5 service brakes are equipped with easily replaceable and low cost sintered brake pads, standard material brake discs, a wear compensator for reduced maintenance, and a square spring tube with a graduated torque scale to facilitate torque adjustment.

Teknamotor, a leading Polish manufacturer of wood processing devices, recently purchased a WPT power take-off (PTO) clutch for one of its most advanced products – SKORPION 350SDB wood chipper.

To meet the challenging application requirements, ICP supplied a WPL 110 pilotless mechanical PTO clutch. The pilotless bearing design optimises costs by reducing inventory, increasing uptime and engine life, and simplifying installation time.

Industrial Clutch Parts (ICP) supplies various clutches and brakes to the Agriculture industry. A recent customer needed a power take-off (PTO) clutch for a tub grinder to convert the harvested hay bales into feed for the cattle.

To meet the challenging application requirements, ICP supplied a WPT pilotless over-the-shaft pneumatic PTO clutch, engineered to meet the most demanding diesel engine requirements. The unit eliminates the pilot bearing and increases side load capacity over previous generations of PTO products. The dual spherical roller bearing design eliminates side load on the shaft. There is no direct loading to engine crankshaft which increases life on the engine main bearing.
